Euronet Worldwide reported third-quarter earnings of $3.55 a share, $0.25 below expectations. Revenue was $1.16 billion, against $1.22 billion expected.
The company also revised its outlook for 2026. It now expects revenue of about $4.375 billion, adjusted EBITDA of about $725 million, and adjusted earnings per share growth of about 10 per cent on the year before. Adjusted EBITDA is operating profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, adjusted for items the company chooses to exclude.
Chairman and chief executive Michael J. Brown said ongoing pressure from U.S. immigration policy on the Cross-Border Payments segment, along with wider economic and currency pressures, drove the revised outlook.
The open question is how much of the expected growth in adjusted earnings per share is exposed to those pressures. In the third quarter the company bought back $50 million of its common stock, about 690,000 shares. That buyback came before the revision was announced.
