Carrier Global raised its 2026 sales outlook to between $23.8 billion and $24.0 billion, from about $23 billion, but gave less ground on earnings. Adjusted EPS guidance is now $2.85 to $2.90, against about $2.90 before. The midpoint is slightly lower, so the earnings outlook was tightened, not lifted.
The third quarter was ahead of forecasts. Earnings were $0.87 a share, $0.09 more than expected. Revenue was $6.26 billion against $6.19 billion expected.
Chairman and CEO David Gitlin said record backlog and continued demand give Carrier confidence in double-digit organic sales and adjusted EPS growth in 2026, and in carrying momentum into 2027.
That case rests on orders turning into profit. Carrier still expects adjusted operating profit of about $3.5 billion and free cash flow of about $2 billion for the year. Those two figures are the markers for whether the backlog converts. The company also expects to return about $2.3 billion to shareholders in 2026 through dividends and share repurchases.
