Oshkosh reported third-quarter earnings of $2.41 per share, $0.73 below expectations. Revenue was $2.84 billion, short of the $2.97 billion expected.
The company now expects 2026 adjusted earnings per share of $8.50 to $9.50. That is below its most recent guidance. It also expects 2026 net sales of about $11.0 billion, down from $11.2 billion.
Chief executive John Pfeifer said improvements in fire truck production are taking longer than expected. The company is taking focused steps on material flow and production scheduling, which he called a near-term issue.
The board declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.57 per share. It is payable November 30, 2026, to shareholders of record on November 16, 2026.
The guidance cut matters more than the quarter. It resets the full-year picture, not only the period that was missed. Pfeifer ties the problem to fire truck output, which is taking longer to recover than the company had planned. The lower sales forecast suggests the delay is now reaching revenue. The open question is whether the steps on material flow and scheduling restore output before the end of the year.
