Textron reported third-quarter earnings of $1.76 per share, $0.31 above expectations. Revenue was $3.75 billion, below the $3.81 billion expected.
The company raised its full-year 2026 outlook on three measures. Earnings per share under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) are now expected at $5.64 to $5.74, up from $5.39 to $5.59. Adjusted earnings per share are now expected at $6.55 to $6.65, up from $6.40 to $6.60. Manufacturing cash flow before pension contributions is now expected at $800 million to $900 million, up from $700 million to $800 million.
Chief Executive Lisa M. Atherton said higher jet deliveries at Textron Aviation and program execution at Textron Systems drove double-digit revenue growth at each segment. She said Bell made significant operational progress on the MV-75 Cheyenne program.
The raised outlook matters more than the quarter itself. All three guidance measures moved higher even though revenue came in under expectations, so the earnings beat and the cash flow range are doing most of the work in the new guidance. Textron Aviation and Textron Systems are the two segments where later quarters may test the raise. Bell's progress on the MV-75 Cheyenne program is a separate operational thread.
