Restaurant Brands International reported third-quarter revenue of $2.52 billion, below the $2.57 billion expected. Earnings per share of $1.10 were in line with expectations.
Chief Executive Josh Kobza attributed the quarter's results to global comparable sales growth, led by outperformance at Burger King. Tim Hortons and the International segment posted steady growth.
The company declared a quarterly dividend of $0.65 per common share and per partnership exchangeable unit. It is payable on January 5, 2027, to holders of record on December 22, 2026.
As of September 30, 2026, the company had $768 million left under its $1 billion share repurchase authorization. During the quarter it bought back $61 million of common shares and $214 million of exchangeable units.
The company still expects adjusted interest expense of $500 million to $520 million for 2026, and total capital expenditure and cash inducements of about $400 million. It says it remains on track for 8% organic Adjusted Operating Income growth.
Earnings matched expectations, so the gap sits in sales, which came in about $50 million short. Keeping its 2026 targets suggests management does not see that shortfall changing its full-year outlook. Buybacks leave $768 million of authority after $275 million of repurchases in the quarter. Kobza credits Burger King for the sales growth, so the next quarter's sales figures will show whether that lead holds.
