The company says it now expects full year 2026 results at the high end of the range it gave on August 4

RB Global has named Steve Steinberg Chief Financial Officer, effective October 7, 2026. He succeeds Eric Guerin, whose last day was October 6. Chief Operating Officer Steve Lewis is also leaving, with his last day expected October 9.
Steinberg joined Ritchie Bros. in 2016 as Business Unit CFO and Vice President, North America, and most recently served as Senior Vice President and Head of Strategic Planning and Decision Support, a role he took on in 2025, according to RB Global's investor relations page. Guerin had been CFO since January 2024, having previously held the same role at Veritiv Corporation and CDK Global, according to a company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Lewis became Chief Operating Officer in 2024 after serving as a Division President at GXO Logistics, according to RB Global's proxy statement filed with the SEC.
The same announcement included three other appointments: Shiv Dutt to the newly created role of Chief Digital and Strategy Officer, Jake Lawson to President of Heavy Equipment & Transportation North America, and Sam Wyant to President of Auto North America and International, according to an exhibit RB Global filed with the SEC. Guerin and Lewis will each receive severance and other customary benefits under their employment agreements, the filing shows.
Alongside the changes, RB Global said it now expects full year 2026 results at the high end of the outlook it gave on August 4, which called for GTV growth of 9-11% and Adjusted EBITDA of $1,495 million to $1,545 million. Two senior departures in close succession would ordinarily raise questions about continuity, but pairing them with guidance toward the top of that range softens the usual uncertainty that comes with leadership turnover. It also follows an expanded share repurchase authorization the company approved in September, a move that already pointed to management's confidence in the business. Taken together, the changes suggest RB Global is managing the transition from a position of operating strength, handing Steinberg a business tracking toward the upper end of its own targets.
