The S&P 500 ETF is up 0.4%. Technology leads the main sectors at +0.9%, with HP Enterprise the standout gainer and Corning down 3.1% as the sector's clear laggard. Energy adds 0.5% as Valero Energy and Phillips 66 pace the group. Health Care is the weakest major sector at -0.5%, dragged by Moderna (-6.6%) and Cigna (-3.4%). Financials (-0.3%) and Real Estate (-0.5%) are also softer, though Cboe Global Markets jumps 4.2% within financials. Industrials slips 0.3%, with Northrop Grumman down 4.0%. Consumer Staples is roughly flat as Grocery Outlet rallies 3.1% against a 4.1% drop in BJ's Wholesale.
Factor readings show growth outperforming value: Vanguard Growth ETF and S&P 500 Growth ETF are both up 0.6%, while high beta names lag at -0.3%.
Among mega-cap growth stocks, Alphabet (+2.4% Class C, +2.0% Class A), ServiceNow (+2.1%) and Salesforce (+2.0%) lead, while Tesla (-1.8%), UnitedHealth (-2.2%) and Oracle (-1.4%) trail.
Elsewhere, the Uranium ETF (+1.4%) and software-focused IGV (+1.2%) outperform, while Medical Devices ETF (-1.1%) and Europe Financials ETF (-0.9%) underperform.
Space-linked names dominate the individual gainers list, tracking a 2.6% gain in the VanEck Space ETF, while utility and health-related names lead losses.
