Avantor reported third-quarter earnings of $0.22 a share, $0.01 more than expected. Revenue was $1.70B, against $1.67B expected. The company also raised its full-year outlook for 2026.
It now expects organic revenue growth of 0.75% to 1.25%, up from a previous range of -0.5% to 0.5%. Adjusted earnings per share are now forecast at $0.81 to $0.83, up from $0.80 to $0.83. Free cash flow, the cash left after capital spending, is now expected at $525 million to $550 million, up from $500 million to $550 million. The margin outlook for adjusted EBITDA, a measure of profit, held at 14.8% to 15.3%.
Chief Executive Emmanuel Ligner said organic growth in VWR Distribution & Services accelerated to 5.8%. He said Bioscience & Medtech Products returned to organic growth, as the company had expected. He credited better execution and stronger end markets.
The bottom of the organic growth range now sits at 0.75%, above the old 0.5% top. The outlook is therefore positive at both ends, where before it straddled zero. Because the margin range held, the raised outlook rests on sales and cash flow rather than on costs. The higher range depends on the VWR and bioscience trends continuing.
