OGE Energy reported third-quarter earnings of $1.52 per share, $0.14 above expectations. Revenue was $1.16 billion, against $1.11 billion expected.
The company raised its 2026 earnings outlook to a range of $2.62 to $2.68 per average diluted share. It cited weather that has been warmer than normal this year, and it assumes normal weather for the rest of the year.
The raise rests on weather that has already run warmer than normal. Because the rest of the year is assumed to be normal, the new range reflects results banked so far more than a changed view of the remaining months. If the final months depart from normal weather, earnings would start from a higher base, so the revised range is more sensitive to the closing quarter than the headline figures suggest. The change is tied to weather rather than to a stated change in operations, so it says less about OGE Energy's underlying earnings path than the size of the upgrade alone might suggest.
