Tempus AI has agreed to data deals with Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pathos AI worth $192.5 million in cash payments to Tempus over about five years. The agreements were signed on October 14 and October 22, 2026, and announced on October 23.
Bristol-Myers Squibb will pay $137.5 million under a statement of work for oncology data and related services. The work runs through December 31, 2031. The data is de-identified, meaning personal details have been removed.
Pathos AI has a separate order form with Tempus worth up to $55 million. It covers licensing of neurology data and an agentic analysis tool, which is software that can carry out analysis steps on its own. Bristol-Myers Squibb also receives sublicense rights under that order form, which allow it to grant use of the material to others.
For Tempus, the deals bring contracted revenue that runs for years, rather than one-off license fees. The Bristol-Myers Squibb portion runs to 2031. The data and tools could be used to support regulatory or commercial work on therapies such as IZA-BREN, which is one reason a large drugmaker would commit to a long, high-value arrangement. The split between a direct statement of work and a license with sublicense rights also suggests that Pathos AI's neurology data and tools are meant for use beyond a single partner.
