President Trump used a Truth Social post to endorse Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of his re-election campaign, saying "If Israel has the wrong Leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves," a reference to military action against Iran.
Trump described Iran as "systematically destroyed, both Militarily and Financially" and said "unless they change their ways, rapidly, we will soon finish the job."
The endorsement comes as reports surface of Trump and Netanyahu discussing a possible resumption of strikes before the Israeli election, a track Netanyahu's office publicly denied on October 13. By casting Netanyahu as indispensable to finishing the job with Iran, Trump narrows the gap between his public pledge of no action before November 3 and the private appetite for earlier escalation that Washington officials were reported on October 13 to have found encouraging.
The post sets no new timeline and gives no operational detail, but it shows Trump is willing to link his own Iran policy to the outcome of Netanyahu's re-election bid, leaving open the space between the stated midterm deadline and whatever decision is actually made.
