After-hours, the S&P 500 ETF is little changed at -0.0%. Financials is the weakest major sector at -0.2%, dragged by Bank of America at -2.4%, its steepest drop since July, following a $1.2 billion fine over money laundering failures and a separate $11.66 million OFAC settlement over sanctions violations. Technology and Health Care are each up 0.1%, while Real Estate and Consumer Staples are flat. Energy is down 0.1% even as Middle East tensions escalate, with reports of an attack on a Saudi Aramco facility and Houthi threats against Saudi oil infrastructure.
Factor and mega-cap growth moves are muted, with Bank of America the standout laggard within the mega-cap cohort. Among factor ETFs, EEMV is the outlier at +1.6%.
Elsewhere, URA is up 1.1% and XAR is up 0.4%, while semiconductor-focused ETFs SOXX and SMH are each up 0.3%. The thematic RACK ETF is up 2.2%.
Individual movers are modest and broad-based, with chip and tech-adjacent names leading gainers and a mix of industrial and health care names lagging.
