Major Movers

SPY is down 0.7% as a sharp divergence opens up between defensive and growth-sensitive groups. Technology leads decliners at -2.1%, dragged by semiconductor names, while Energy is the standout gainer at +3.0% alongside a jump in crude benchmarks. Consumer Staples (+2.2%) and Financials (+1.0%) also outperform. Consumer Discretionary is roughly flat at +0.1%, with Chipotle up 7.4% after a Financial Times report that Starbucks had explored a takeover, while Starbucks itself falls 4.2% on the same report. Health Care (-0.9%) and Real Estate (+0.4%) are mixed, with Equinix and Digital Realty among the real estate laggards.
Factor readings confirm the rotation: High Beta and Momentum ETFs are down over 1.5% while Dividend-oriented factors like SCHD and Dividend Aristocrats gain more than 1%.
Within mega-cap growth, Oracle falls 4.6% and AMD falls 4.1%, while Philip Morris and Lowe's lead to the upside.
Semiconductor ETFs are broadly weak, with XSD down 4.2% and SOXX down 3.7%, and the thematic AI and robotics ETFs are also under pressure.
Several of the largest single-stock movers are concentrated in semiconductors and AI-adjacent infrastructure names, with no overlap in sector affiliation beyond that theme.
