Anthropic plans to hold its initial public offering in November, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The company is working to amass 5 gigawatts of compute power by the end of the year. That target includes an agreement with Amazon for nearly 1 gigawatt of Trainium2 and Trainium3 chip capacity, due to come online by the end of 2026.
A November listing would keep Anthropic on a faster path to public markets than most enterprise software peers, even as it continues building out compute capacity and expanding partnerships with enterprises and government. For investors, the timing looks like execution on plans the company had already stated, rather than a shift in its trajectory, leaving the investment case largely where it stood in recent weeks.
