SPY is up 0.8% in pre-market trade, with broad gains across nearly every major sector. Technology leads at +1.3%, with strength spread uniformly across the sector. Consumer Discretionary is also well bid, with cruise lines, automakers, and travel names all posting solid gains; Lennar is the clear exception, down 2.6% after posting Q3 revenue below consensus and guiding Q4 deliveries short of expectations. Industrials are higher, with Generac the dramatic standout at +34.6%, far outpacing the rest of the sector. Health Care gains 0.4%, led by Moderna at +3.8%. Financials add 0.4%, with Robinhood and Coinbase both up 2.8% at the top. Utilities rise 0.5%, with PPL Corp up 3.3% leading the group. Materials are flat at the ETF level despite Freeport-McMoRan gaining 2.4%. Energy is the weakest sector at +0.3%, with most names barely moving and a handful in the red.
On factors, momentum is the standout: S&P 500 Momentum leads at +1.3%, followed by S&P 500 Growth at +1.0% and iShares MSCI USA Momentum Factor ETF at +0.9%. The S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF is up 0.6%, suggesting the rally has some breadth. The iShares MSCI USA Min Vol Factor ETF lags at +0.2%, consistent with a risk-on tone. The iShares Russell Mid-Cap Growth ETF is the only factor in the red at -0.4%.
Within the mega-cap growth cohort, semiconductor-linked names are doing the most work. Oracle and Lam Research both gain 2.5%, Applied Materials +2.3%, KLA Corp +2.2%, and AMD +2.0%. Nvidia adds 1.6% and Broadcom +1.5%. Alphabet, Tesla, Amazon, and Meta Platforms are all up between 1.1% and 1.3%. Microsoft and Apple are more modest at +0.8% and +0.5% respectively. Salesforce gains 0.8%, with the company having issued a fiscal 2030 revenue forecast above consensus. At the bottom of the cohort, Boston Scientific slips 0.7% and AbbVie -0.2%.
Semiconductor ETFs are among the strongest thematic movers: iShares Semiconductor ETF and Uranium ETF each gain 1.9%, and VanEck Semiconductor ETF adds 1.7%. iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF rises 0.6%, while Aerospace & Def ETF and Defense ETF add 0.6% and 0.5% respectively. Homebuilders ETF is flat, consistent with the pressure on Lennar. Oil & Gas E&P ETF adds 0.3%.
The Global X Data Center & Digital Infrastructure ETF is up 3.4%, and iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF gains 2.2%.
Among commodity ETFs, Global X Silver Miners ETF rises 2.1% while iShares Lithium Miners and Producers ETF falls 2.2%.
The top individual gainers are concentrated in AI infrastructure and chip-adjacent names. The cybersecurity names in the losers list move against the broader tech tape.
