Major Movers
Published
After-hours trading shows a broadly quiet session, with S&P 500 ETF up just +0.1%. Sector moves are almost uniformly flat to a few tenths of a percent, with no clear directional theme. Consumer Discretionary is flat overall, though homebuilders stand out within it: PulteGroup and D.R. Horton are up +1.2% and +1.0% respectively, the strongest individual readings in the sector. Financials are flat as a sector, but Robinhood is the notable laggard at -1.4%, with the Senate's failure to advance the Clarity Act crypto regulatory bill earlier in the session a likely weight on crypto-adjacent names; Coinbase is also softer at -0.6%. Health Care adds +0.1%, though Repligen drops -1.4%, standing out as the weakest name in the sector by a wide margin. Industrials are flat, with Xylem the clear outlier at -0.9%. Utilities edge up +0.1%, with Entergy the softest name at -0.8%. Energy is flat at the sector level despite crude oil surging during the regular session on Saudi pipeline disruption and Libyan field shutdowns; after-hours price action shows only marginal moves across energy names, with Magnolia Oil & Gas the relative standout at +0.8%.
Factor readings are negligible across the board, with moves of 0.1% or less on virtually every tracked factor. The iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Min Vol Factor ETF at +0.6% is the only factor-adjacent reading worth noting.
Within the mega-cap growth cohort, S&P Global leads at +1.1%. ServiceNow, JPMorgan Chase, and Johnson & Johnson are the softest names, each at -0.4%, while Alphabet, Meta Platforms, and AMD each ease -0.2%.
Among other sector ETFs, Transportation ETF is the only meaningful mover, falling -1.4%, with the rest of the group clustered near flat.
The WisdomTree Quantum Computing Fund rises +2.0% after hours.
The individual movers list is mixed, with gains spread across unrelated names and the losses led by a defense manufacturer. Coinbase's softness in Financials echoes in Strategy Inc and Reddit on the losers side, both down as crypto sentiment takes a hit after the Senate blocked the Clarity Act.
