Otis Worldwide says Judith F. Marks will step down as Chair, Chief Executive Officer and President by 31 July 2027, or sooner if a successor is named first.
The board's succession committee, chaired by Christopher J. Kearney, has hired the search firm Spencer Stuart to find her replacement. The company says a new CEO is expected to be named in the first half of 2027.
Marks will help with the transition and may stay on as a non-employee senior advisor through July 2027 if her successor takes over earlier.
The long runway points to an orderly, board-managed handoff rather than a sudden exit, and with no successor named and about 18 months built into the process, the announcement itself gives little to change the picture on earnings or strategy for now.
