Quest Diagnostics reported third-quarter earnings per share of $3.00, $0.11 above expectations. Revenue reached $3.10 billion, ahead of the $3.08 billion forecast.
The company raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $12.065 billion to $12.105 billion, up from $11.95 billion to $12.05 billion. It also lifted adjusted diluted earnings per share guidance to $11.25 to $11.35, from $11.05 to $11.25, and raised reported diluted earnings per share guidance to $10.21 to $10.31, from $9.97 to $10.17. Full-year cash flow from operations guidance rose to about $1.90 billion, from about $1.80 billion.
Chairman, CEO and President Jim Davis attributed the quarter's growth to strength across physician, hospital and consumer channels, along with productivity gains from automation and artificial intelligence.
The revision touches the full outlook rather than a single line. Revenue, adjusted earnings, reported earnings and cash flow guidance all moved higher together, and the increase in reported earnings guidance alongside the adjusted figure means the gain is not confined to an adjusted basis. Whether the channel strength and automation gains Davis points to continue will show up in the quarters ahead.
