Traders are moving away from a Federal Reserve rate hike before the end of 2026. The shift follows weeks of debate inside the central bank. Hammack, Goolsbee and Collins have pushed for more tightening. Jefferson, Williams and Bowman have urged patience.
On October 14, hot consumer price, producer price and industrial production data had pushed the odds of a December hike near 90 per cent. Traders also added bets on further increases through 2027.
The change also marks a shift in how traders are reading that debate.
