Elevance Health reported third-quarter earnings per share of $6.99, well above the $2.26 analysts had expected on average for the period. Revenue came in at $50.44bn, ahead of the $49.70bn forecast.
The company raised its outlook for 2026, now expecting diluted earnings per share of at least $22.00 and adjusted diluted earnings per share of at least $29.00. It also lifted its guidance for operating cash flow next year to at least $6.5bn.
Elevance Health declared a fourth-quarter dividend of $1.72 per share, payable on December 18, 2026 to shareholders of record as of December 4, 2026. President and CEO Gail Boudreaux said the quarter reflected stronger execution across the company's diversified portfolio and that it remains confident in delivering at least 12% adjusted earnings per share growth in 2027.
The upgraded targets mark a reversal from the defensive stance Elevance Health took in July, when it cut its 2025 guidance.
