Curtiss-Wright said Chief Financial Officer K. Christopher Farkas will retire at the end of the year, after six years in the role. He has stepped down as CFO immediately but will stay on as Executive Vice President through his retirement date.
Gary A. Ogilby, previously Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller, becomes Interim Chief Financial Officer effective today, October 6, 2026, while the board searches for a permanent successor. Ogilby joined Curtiss-Wright in 2010 and has served as Vice President and Corporate Controller since 2020, becoming Senior Vice President this year, according to Investing.com. Before joining the company he worked in the audit practice at Ernst & Young, auditing public multinational companies, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the College of New Jersey, Investing.com reported.
Farkas joined Curtiss-Wright in 2009 and held roles including Vice President and Corporate Controller and Vice President of Finance before becoming CFO in 2020, Investing.com reported. The company said his decision to retire is unrelated to its business or financial performance, according to Investing.com. Chief Executive Lynn Bamford thanked Farkas for his six years leading the finance function and for his partnership on the company's 'Pivot to Growth' strategy, Business Wire reported via StockTitan.
The interim appointment gives Curtiss-Wright a finance chief already familiar with its books as it heads toward its next earnings report, scheduled for November 4, 2026, Investing.com reported.
