Chinese leader Xi Jinping says China and the United States have a responsibility to manage artificial intelligence and are capable of doing so together. Xi arrived in Washington ahead of a state dinner with President Trump tonight, where trade and technology are expected to be discussed. The seized F-35 fighter jet parts and the status of the trade truce between the two countries are also on the agenda.
Trump has said he and Xi made tremendous strides on trade, and that the two leaders are also set to discuss security, technology and artificial intelligence. Trump earlier extended the trade ceasefire with China as he welcomed Xi to Washington.
