Lantheus Holdings said Curium US Holdings, the buyer in its pending merger with Lantheus, withdrew and resubmitted its pre-merger notification under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. The move gives the Federal Trade Commission more time to review the deal.
The refiling, made September 21, 2026, starts a new 30-day waiting period that is set to expire October 21, 2026, unless the FTC extends or ends it sooner.
Lantheus and Curium said they still expect the merger to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approval, stockholder approval and other customary closing conditions.
A refiling of this kind is a routine step in merger review, not a sign the deal is in trouble. The companies' timeline is unchanged, and resetting the waiting period does not by itself signal antitrust concern. That would change if the FTC issues a formal Second Request for more information, as it did in the Caesars-Fertitta deal, which would extend the timeline materially.
