Eli Lilly Chief Executive Dave Ricks says the company is capturing 70% of seniors who begin GLP-1 therapy, positioning it well ahead of rivals in one of the fastest-growing segments of the weight-loss and metabolic drug market.
The company has also picked up a second FDA approval for Inluriyo in combination with Verzenio, treating ESR1-mutated metastatic breast cancer.
Eli Lilly's share of seniors starting GLP-1 treatment puts it materially ahead of Novo Nordisk in that segment. Paired with the new oncology approval and other recent regulatory wins in cardiology, it points to a company able to keep growing revenue across several drug franchises even as the broader market sells off.
