Houthi forces said they attacked a Saudi military camp in Jizan with ballistic missiles, according to a Houthi spokesperson. Saudi officials have not confirmed the strike or any resulting damage.
The claim extends a run of attacks on Saudi territory stretching back to early September that have grown frequent without Saudi confirmation in most cases. Neither the Jizan nor Najran airport strikes claimed in that period have been confirmed, and no Saudi official or witness has confirmed any of three operations the Houthis claimed on Monday.
Some incidents in the same stretch have been verified. A Saudi-led coalition intercepted three Houthi missiles aimed at Khamis Mushait on October 2, with fragments causing limited damage and no casualties. The day before, debris from an intercepted missile fell on residential areas near Khamis Mushait, damaging buildings and vehicles, according to Saudi civil defense as cited by Arab News.
Confirmed export volumes have held near record levels through this period, even through a pipeline outage and a disruption to loadings at Yanbu. The Mecca Alliance is now operationally deployed with a standing secretary general in place, so strikes like this one are increasingly met with formal multinational defense commitments rather than diplomatic statements alone. Unless Saudi officials confirm damage to production or loading infrastructure, this claim fits the intercept-and-claim pattern that has so far left output largely intact.
