S&P 500 ETF is down 0.2% in pre-market trading, with sectors mostly flat to slightly lower. Energy Select is the laggard at -0.4%, with most E&P names red, while Utilities Select leads at +0.4%. Financials Select, Technology Select and Health Care Select are each off 0.1-0.2%. Within Technology Select, Intel is the clear underperformer at -3.7% against a sector near flat.
Factors are broadly softer: S&P 500 Growth ETF, Mega Cap Growth ETF and Vanguard Growth ETF are each down 0.1-0.2%, and the S&P 600 Small Cap ETF is the weakest reading at -0.5%.
Within mega-cap growth, Qualcomm stands out at +1.6% after entering a long-term patent-sharing agreement with Huawei, while KLA Corp, Applied Materials and Lam Research are the weakest, down 0.8-1.2%.
Semiconductor ETF is up 0.9% even as iShares Semiconductor ETF and VanEck Semiconductor ETF slip 0.3-0.6%, and Uranium ETF is up 0.5%.
PTC Inc. is the standout mover after Schneider Electric agreed to buy the company for $205 per share in an all-cash deal. The rest of the gainers list has no grounded news catalyst, while the losers are modest by comparison.
