The Saudi-led coalition says it intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles fired by Houthi forces toward Khamis Mushait on Friday.
Fragments from the missiles fell in Khamis Mushait Governorate, causing limited material damage, Saudi Civil Defence said, according to Gulf News. No casualties were reported. The coalition gave no further details on damage or casualties from the intercept, The National reported.
It is the third such intercept over Khamis Mushait in roughly three weeks, following incidents on September 14 and October 1. On October 1, debris from an intercepted missile fell on residential areas, damaging buildings and vehicles.
The pattern suggests Saudi defenses continue to stop Houthi missiles before impact, with no reported damage to pipelines, loading terminals or export facilities. That keeps the incident inside the intercept-and-clear cycle rather than threatening the East-West pipeline restoration or the Yanbu resumption already underway. Crude's prior $4 spikes have come on actual attacks on Aramco infrastructure, not on defensive successes, so an intercepted missile with no production impact does little to alter the supply picture traders have been pricing.
