Consumer Discretionary names are mixed: Mattel leads its sector at +0.6% after the Wall Street Journal reported Authentic Brands Group has discussed a takeover offer valuing it above $20 a share, while Nike is the sector's worst performer at -6.2% after guiding fiscal 2027 revenue to decline in the high-single digits. Materials is flat overall but Corteva lags at -1.1% after fifteen states filed a fraud lawsuit tied to its Vylor seed spinoff and PFAS liabilities. Real Estate is also flat aside from Equinix, down 1.1%.
Among factors, most readings are flat, though Dimensional US Small Cap Value stands out at -0.8%.
ON Semiconductor is the standout gainer after agreeing to acquire Synaptics for $123 per share in a revised cash deal valued at $5.70 billion. Fair Isaac and Astera Labs lead losers, while Paramount Skydance ticks higher amid new executive compensation details tied to its merger.
