The S&P 500 ETF is down 0.4%. Health Care leads at +1.2%, with Eli Lilly up 2.4% after the FDA approved its Onswik for type 2 diabetes and Merck up 1.7% on positive trial data for Remigromig in diabetic macular edema. Energy gains 1.0% as Brent crude jumped 2.2% intraday. Consumer Staples adds 0.7% and Real Estate rises 0.3%. Technology is the weakest sector at -1.1%, dragged by Oracle's 6.1% drop. Consumer Discretionary falls 0.4%, with MGM Resorts tumbling 10.1%. Industrials slips 0.5%, Materials eases 0.3%, and Financials is little changed at -0.1%.
Factors show a defensive tilt: High Beta names lag at -1.1% while Value is roughly flat, and Growth and Momentum both slip about 0.5%.
Within mega-cap growth, Meta Platforms gains 2.0% and Johnson & Johnson adds 1.9%, while Nvidia, Amazon, and Microsoft each fall more than 1%, and Applied Materials and Qualcomm drop over 2%.
Among other sector trackers, semiconductor funds SMH, SOXX, and XSD fall 1.4% to 1.9%, and the Uranium ETF drops 2.1%.
Individual stock moves are broad based, with sharp swings on both sides not tied to the day's main sector themes.

Clean energy themes are weak, with the Solar Energy ETF down 3.7% and the iShares Global Clean Energy ETF down 2.8%. The VanEck Rare Earth and Strategic Metals ETF falls 2.5%.
