Siemens Healthineers guides to stagnating profit after a slight quarterly miss, Handelsblatt reports
Reuters reports an adjusted EPS range of €2.20 to €2.40 for fiscal 2027, with weakness in China diagnostics cited as a continuing drag.
Siemens Healthineers expects only stagnating profit in fiscal 2026/27, Handelsblatt reports, after fourth-quarter results that came in slightly below expectations.
In the quarter, Reuters reports, revenue rose 7.3% to €6.784bn while adjusted EBIT fell 2.0% to €1.077bn. Diagnostics revenue fell 4.2% on a comparable basis to €1.067bn. China, about 10% of group revenue, was hurt by structural market changes, and Reuters says weakness there is cited as a continuing drag.
Carmakers have been absorbing EV transition costs and weakness in China, Rheinmetall's quarter turned on the timing of orders, and Continental and Commerzbank posted standout strength. Healthineers has limited exposure to the auto or defence cycles. A flat-profit call from a company like that, with China as the named drag, suggests the slowdown in German earnings reaches beyond the sectors already flagged.
