AMC says it is confident of positive 2026 free cash flow after a third-quarter beat

Revenue of $1.71B came in above the $1.56B expected, and chief executive Adam Aron says the refinancing of about 97% of AMC's debt has pushed maturities out to 2031 and 2033.

AMC Entertainment earned $0.13 a share in the third quarter, $0.09 better than expected. Revenue was $1.71B against the $1.56B forecast.

The second quarter also beat on revenue. AMC then reported EPS of $0.14 on revenue of $1.6B against $1.5B expected, with revenue up 14.2% from a year earlier.

The larger claim is about cash. AMC says its third-quarter free cash flow gives it confidence that it will generate positive free cash flow for 2026 as a whole. That is management's own forecast, and it will count for more once the year's result is in.

Aron, who is chairman and chief executive, also pointed to the refinancing. He said it covered about 97% of AMC's debt, extended maturities to 2031 and 2033 and reduced the company's cost of capital. On his account the debt has been dealt with, and what remains open is whether the cinemas generate enough cash.
