Timken lifts 2026 forecast after third-quarter profit beats and revenue falls just short

The bearings maker plans sales up about 5.5% this year, a turn from 2025, when it expected a slight dip.

Timken now expects adjusted earnings of $6.35 to $6.50 a share for 2026, with revenue up about 5.5% from 2025. On a GAAP basis it forecasts diluted earnings of $4.05 to $4.20 a share.

The third quarter was the smaller news. Earnings were $1.65 a share, $0.16 better than expected, while revenue of $1.21B came in against $1.22B forecast. A raised full-year outlook counts for more than a quarter with a profit beat and a small sales miss.

The growth rate would mark a shift. In 2025 Timken described soft demand and expected full-year sales to dip slightly, with tariffs a drag. Whether the cost actions and initiatives from that period can produce growth at this pace is now the open question.

Lucian Boldea, president and CEO, said Timken expects organic sales to grow mid-single digits in 2027 compared with 2026. He ties that to the company's strategic initiatives and continued momentum in industrial markets.
