Pfizer has raised its guidance for 2026 revenue and earnings after a third quarter that beat expectations. The raised outlook is the bigger news, since a forecast moved up says more than one quarter ahead of the bar.
Earnings per share were $0.87, $0.14 better than expected. Revenue was $16.58bn against $16.03bn expected.
Pfizer now expects 2026 revenue of $62.0bn to $64.0bn, up from $60.5bn to $62.5bn. It expects adjusted diluted earnings per share of $2.95 to $3.05, up from $2.80 to $3.00 and a narrower range.
Cecile Guegan, Pfizer's chief financial officer, tied the higher outlook to newer products. She said launched and acquired products grew revenue 32% in the quarter, while non-COVID products as a whole grew 7% operationally.
That gap shapes how far the guidance can be trusted. The revenue lift depends more on recent launches and acquisitions than on the established portfolio, which is growing far more slowly. The earnings range looks to have narrowed mainly by lifting the bottom, not the top. Whether the slower-growing base can add more to the total is the open question if the newer products keep up their pace.
